Premium Southern Grasses
All grasses require at least 4 hours of sun. However, some are more shade-tolerant than others. See descriptions.
Performs best in full sun. Establishes very quickly and grows vigorously. Goes dormant after frost, but recovers quickly when temperatures warm. Withstands drought by going into dormancy until sufficient rainfall resumes. Exhibits dense growth and competes with the presence of turf weeds. Can be installed as dormant sod.
More shade-tolerant than Tifway. Fine-textured and bright green, it is drought tolerant and withstands wear and tear from traffic better than any other Bermuda. It also is quicker to green up in the spring and has better green color retention into fall than Tifway.
Emerald Zoysia is ideal for show-piece lawns, where outstanding appearance and first impressions matter. It is a dense, lush, thick sod that crowds out weeds and other grasses. It tolerates extreme heat and has superior disease resistance. It is also drought tolerant and is ideal in areas of full sun or medium shade.
Often used as a replacement for Tall Fescue due to it's wide leaf blades, Zenith Zoysia is more heat and drought tolerant than any Tall Fescue type. It has a dark green, medium texture blade and its dense growth habit crowds out weeds well. It is shade tolerant, widely adaptable to full sun or light shade.
Zeon Zoysia sod is so adaptable that it thrives in the heat of the lower South and cold winters of the upper South. It boasts a higher disesase & insect resistance than some varieties of warm season grasses. Due to it's dense growth patterns, Zeon Zoysia also resists weeds and even requires less fertilization that some Bermuda grasses. It has a dark green, medium/light-textured blade and is shade tolerant, widely adapting to full sun or moderate shade.
A slow-growing turf grass for full sun to partial shade. Lowest maintenance requirements of all the quality southern lawn turf grasses. Typical uses are large landscapes, parks, and along the roadside, where maintenance budgets are small. Tolerates full sun to partial shade. It has a medium green, medium-textured blade.
A cool season turf grass with dark green, medium texture blades. It's the most shade-tolerant of the turf grasses. Provides an excellently green-colored lawn year round
